Chief Legal & Compliance Officer

Scott Hodgkins is our Chief Legal & Compliance Officer whose extensive background in corporate securities makes him an invaluable asset to our firm.

Prior to joining LURIN, Scott was the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Chief Administrative Officer for Xebec from 2015 to 2023, a privately held, Dallas-based firm providing real estate investment opportunities to institutional and private wealth investors through the acquisition, development, and management of bulk logistics, infill/last-mile and light industrial properties. From 1995 to 2015, Scott was a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins LLP where he practiced corporate and securities law, with a focus on public and private capital formation and structuring of REITs and real estate investment partnerships, including AMB Property Corp (now Prologis) and Kilroy Realty Corporation among others. While at Latham, Scott served as Chair of the firm’s Finance Committee and Global Co-Chair of the Public Company Representation practice group. Prior to attending law school, Scott was a senior tax manager in the Los Angeles office of Ernst & Young, LP. ​

Scott is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Juris Doctor, a Master of Business Taxation, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with emphases in Accounting and Finance. Scott also has served as a board member to various charitable organizations, including as Chairman of Sycamores, an organization providing mental health services to children and families.
